AMMUNITION:30-06 ammo will be available for for sale, and those borrowing club rifles must purchase and use it. The cost is $18.00 for 55 rounds.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to interested individuals legally residing in the US.

RULES: Current CMP and NRA HIGH POWER RIFLE Rules will guide.

CLASSIFICATION: Competitors holding an NRA High Power Rifle classification will shoot in their respective classes. All unclassified shooters will shoot in the Master class (Rule 19.2). Assigned Classification (Rule 19.6), or Temporary Classification (Rule 19.2), may be used in making entry in this match.

REGISTRATION: Registering indicates you have read this match program. Please email your intent to participate to highpower @ centervillesmallarms.org to facilitate advance squadding and to ensure a entry. Please let us know if you are a junior (20 or under) or if you plan on borrowing an M1 Garand, or if you are bringing your own Garand, or 1903 Springfield, or P17 Enfield and want to purchase 30-06 ammo. Payment can be made at the range until 30 minutes before match time. Late registration at the range will be handled in a case by case basis.

REGISTRATION LIMITED: Entries will be limited to the first 30 competitors to register.

CLINIC INFO: As this is a clinic, Excess time will be allowed for new shooters. Rules and procedures will be explained for informational instruction only. Coaching will be allowed in all phases of the clinic and match.

Equipment needed:You must bring hearing protection. Either ear plugs or ear muffs will work. It is highly recommended that eye protection be worn while on the range. You will need 55 rounds of ammo for the rifle you are going to shoot. There are some M1 Garand rifles available for borrowing for adults. Juniors (20 and under) may be able to borrow an AR15. Please If you are bringing you own rifle and own a sling, please bring it. bring something to write with while scoring. While shooting, you may want to bring something to lay on. Some shooting mats may be available to borrow if needed. A spotting scope works well while shooting and scoring. Binoculars will work for scoring. There will be a few scopes available for borrowing. A Stiff shooting jacket is favored by regular competitors, but is not necessary to have to compete. Most shooters use a glove on the hand that does not pull the trigger. This is to protect it from the sling crossing over it while in postition. Almost any glove with any substance to it will work. Bring it if you have it. A stool is great for sitting on while you are scoring. Lawn Chairs are OK, but tend to blow around while your not in them. A clipboard will give you something to put the scorecard on while you are scoring. Bring drinking water and a lunch. Dress for the weather!

After the discussion, shooters will be assigned to relays and we will hold a match. Experianced shooters will be on the line to assist new shooters and answer questions.

EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR: The use of an Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is mandatory (Rule 3.21). They are available for $1.00. from the match director during registration

RIFLES ALLOWED FOR THIS EVENT: CMP Service Rifle or NRA Match Rifle / Metallic (open) Sight

OTHER RIFLES: Any Safe Rifle, 33 cal or less, without a muzzle brake, and capable of rapid reload via stripper clip, or magazine change may be fired with or without supports along with the rest of the competitors, however, they will not be competing with the other shooters.

TARGETS: 200 yards - SR target.

TARGET PULLERS: No target pullers will be provided. Each competitor will pull targets unless a suitable substitute is approved by the Match Director. Those competitors who fail to perform their pit duties will be disqualified.

SCORING: Competitors will score for each other. Those competitors who fail to perform their scoring duties may be disqualified.

SIGHTING SHOTS: 5 sighting shots will be allowed for each competitor prior to their 1st 20 shots for record.

COURSE OF FIRE;

Stage 1: Slow Fire Prone: 5 sighting shots, 20 shots for record in 25 Minutes single shot.

Stage 2: Rapid Fire Prone: 10 shots fired in 70 seconds including a magazine change.

Stage 3: Rapid Fire Sitting: 10 shots fired in 60 seconds including a magazine change.

Stage 3: Slow Fire Standing: 10 shots fired in 10 Minutes single shot.

ROTATIONS: The shooters will be divided into 3 relays. Relay 1 will fire the complete coures of fire while relay 2 scores and relay 3 pulls targets. Then relay 1 will go to the target pits, relay 2 will go to the firing line, and relay 3 will score. When relay 2 is complete, Relay 2 will go to the target pits, relay 3 will go to the firing line, and relay 1 will score.

FACILITIES: The range has no protection from the weather. Please be prepared. There is no water available at the range. Please bring plenty to drink. Please bring a lunch. While there is no break for eating, during your time in the pits, there is time to eat. There are porta potties at the range.
