600 Yard Prone Practice Match

ELIGIBILITY: Open to interested individuals legally residing in the US.

RULES: Current NRA Rules will guide. Coaching will be allowed

CLASSIFICATION: Competitors holding an NRA High Power Rifle classification will shoot in their respective classes. All unclassified shooters will shoot in the Master class (Rule 19.2). Assigned Classification (Rule 19.6), or Temporary Classification (Rule 19.2), may be used in making entry in this match.

REGISTRATION: Registering indicates you have read this match program. Please email your intent to participate to highpower @ centervillesmallarms.org to facilitate advance squadding and to ensure a entry. Payment can be made at the range until 30 minutes before match time. Late registration at the range will be handled in a case by case basis.

REGISTRATION LIMITED: Entries will be limited to the first 30 competitors to register.

EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR: The use of an Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is mandatory (Rule 3.21). They are available for $1.00. from the match director during registration

RIFLES ALLOWED FOR THIS EVENT: CMP Service Rifle, NRA Match rifle with metallic (open) sights, NRA Match Rifle with Any sights, NRA Any Rifle Open Sights, NRA Any Rifle Any Sight, Palma Rifle, Fullbore Target Rifle, F-Class Target Rifle

TARGETS: 300, 500, or 600 yards on NRA Approved targets.

TARGET PULLERS: No target pullers will be provided. Each competitor will pull targets unless a suitable substitute is approved by the Match Director in advance. Those competitors who fail to perform their pit duties will be disqualified.

SCORING: Competitors will score for each other. Each competitor will score unless a suitable substitute is approved by the Match Director in advance. Those competitors who fail to perform their scoring duties will be disqualified.

SIGHTING SHOTS: unlimited shots will be allowed for each competitor for each stage of fire.

COURSE OF FIRE; 20 Shot Prone Slow Fire, fired at each of the following stages.
NOTE! Match Director may change which yardages are used. IE, we may fire 3 stages at a single yardage if needed.

Stage 1: Slow Fire Prone: Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record fired in 30 Minutes single shot at 300 yards.

Stage 2: Slow Fire Prone: Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record fired in 30 Minutes single shot at 500 yards.

Stage 3: Slow Fire Prone: Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record fired in 30 Minutes single shot at 600 yards.

FACILITIES: The range has no protection from the weather. Please be prepared. There is no water available at the range. Please bring plenty to drink. Please bring a lunch. While there is no break for eating, during your time in the pits, there is time to eat. There are porta potties at the range.
