ELIGIBILITY: Open to interested individuals legally residing in the US.

RULES: Current CMP and NRA Rules will guide. Coaching will be allowed
CLASSIFICATION: Competitors holding an NRA High Power Rifle classification will shoot in their respective classes. All unclassified shooters will shoot in the Master class (Rule 19.2). Assigned Classification (Rule 19.6), or Temporary Classification (Rule 19.2), may be used in making entry in this match.
REGISTRATION: Registering indicates you have read this match program. Please email your intent to participate to highpower @ usrpa.org to facilitate advance squadding and to ensure a entry. Payment can be made at the range until 30 minutes before match time. Late registration at the range will be handled in a case by case basis.
REGISTRATION LIMITED: Entries will be limited to the first 30 competitors to register.
EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR: The use of an Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is mandatory (Rule 3.21). They are available for $1.00. from the match director during registration
RIFLES ALLOWED FOR THIS EVENT: The match is for the M14 or Civilian version, the M1a Rifle:
CMP Service Rifle, NRA Match rifle with metallic (open) sights, or NRA Match Rifle with Any sights may fire but will be in their own catagory and will not be eligible to be the M1A Champion.
OTHER RIFLES: Any Safe Rifle, 33 cal or less, without a muzzle brake, and capable of rapid reload via stripper clip, or magazine change may be fired with or without supports along with the rest of the competitors, however, they will not be competing with the other shooters. Use of these rifles is at the Match Directors discretion )
TARGETS:300 Yards - SR3
TARGET PULLERS: No target pullers will be provided. Each competitor will pull targets unless a suitable substitute is approved by the Match Director in advance. Those competitors who fail to perform their pit duties will be disqualified.
SCORING: Competitors will score for each other. Each competitor will score unless a suitable substitute is approved by the Match Director in advance. Those competitors who fail to perform their scoring duties will be disqualified.
SIGHTING SHOTS: 2 sighting shots will be allowed for each competitor for each stage of fire.
COURSE OF FIRE; 50 Shot National Match
Stage 1: Slow Fire Standing: 2 sighting shots and 10 shots for record fired in 12 Minutes single shot at 300 yards.
Stage 2: Rapid Fire Sitting: 2 sighting shots slow fire. Then one 10 shot rapid fire string, fired in 60 seconds including a magazine change, fired from a sitting position at 300 yards.
Stage 3: Rapid Fire Prone: 2 sighting shots slow fire. Then one 10 shot rapid fire string, fired in 70 seconds including a magazine change, fired from a prone position at 300 yards.
Stage 3: Slow Fire Prone: 2 sighting shots and 20 shots for record fired in 22 Minutes single shot at 300 yards.
ROTATIONS: Competitors will fire all stages before a pit change
FACILITIES: The range has no protection from the weather. Please be prepared. There is no water available at the range. Please bring plenty to drink. Please bring a lunch. While there is no break for eating, during your time in the pits, there is time to eat. There are porta potties at the range.
